Checking Automatic Drain of Compressed Air Filter

The compressed air supply must correspond to the quality class according to DIN ISO 8573-1 specified in the media diagram.

In case malfunctions, reduce the maintenance interval. HELLER recommends a 50 h interval in operating time.

With a fully automatic condensate drain, the valve opens automatically as soon as the float reaches its highest level and closes again when reaching the lowest level. To switch to automatic mode, fully open up the drain screw by turning clockwise (l.h. thread).

Check filling level of the condensate in the filter holder. The filling level must not exceed the marked limit.

If the filling level exceeds the maximum mark, check whether the drain screw is open. Clean the clogged automatic draining mechanism, clean filter holder with soapy water and blow out with compressed air.
