From July 2008 to July 2009, the number of unemployed people in Ohio rose from 399,000 to 664,000. The response to this alarming increase continues to evolve but includes funds to create new jobs and increased attention to training, career ladders and family sustaining jobs. The Ohio AFL-CIO is sponsoring this educational forum to provide an opportunity for community leaders from labor, economic development and workforce development to explore ways to use our combined resources to address the current economic challenges.
Joseph P. Rugola - President, Ohio AFL-CIO
Keller McGaffey was asked to participate as a panel member in this forum and demonstrate how Interactive Training Systems combined Knowledge Systems, Web-based Training with In-class Certification, and Culture Change helped a major provider of jobs in an Ohio community, Gerstenslager Stamping Plant, become more efficient and competitive in a cost-effective means.
Cincinnati Lamb (now part of MAG-AIS) utilized Knowledge Systems loaded directly onto their machines' HMI to facilitate easy access to critical operational information. The online manuals, developed by Interactive Training Systems, were featured as a selling point during demonstrations of their latest milling machine at IMTS 2004.
