Training Struggles to Keep Up with Tower Growth

"The rate of development of skilled labor to do the task is way behind the growth of demand," said Winton Wilcox, president of ComTrain LLC, a Wisconsin-based company that monitors tower safety and trains climbers. "There isn’t 10 to 12 years to learn the business anymore. You’re lucky to find two men on a crew that have more than five years experience."

Ford & Ach Emphasize Employee Safety Through Partnership With The UAW And OSHA

In an effort to further emphasize the importance of employee health and safety conditions in its manufacturing facilities throughout the country, Ford Motor Company and Automotive Components Holdings, LLC (ACH), have renewed a partnership with the United Auto Workers (UAW) and the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
